Mr. Grillos is the Chairman and CEO of WorldSage Inc. The company is a holding company for private, accredited higher education institutions located mainly in Europe. WorldSage was founded in 2004 with the vision to create a World class private higher education system; a system focused on career relevance and professional life long support for graduates, and one that utilizes technology to enhance the learning experience and access for students.

Mr. Grillos has been involved in the information technology and education for over 30 years, as a principal and investor. He was a Managing Director of Robertson Stephens and Company, ITech Partners and MVC Capital, the last two of which he founded. Mr. Grillos has been the CEO or COO of three operating companies. He was the turnaround COO of CBT Systems (SmartForce), the largest e-Learning company in the World at the time. He was also CEO of two successful software companies, and helped build the large and successful American Management Systems.

Mr. Grillos held a variety of engineering and engineering management positions with the Institute for Computer Research at the University of Chicago, and Bell Labs/Western Electric. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS from Illinois Institute of Technology. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Santa Clara University; and he taught mathematics in the US Marine Corp.
